Martina, with her twenty years of experience as an accountant, controller and accounting consultant, is one of Noresca’s most qualified employees and a valued consultant.

We sat down on an outdoor terrace in sunny Stockholm and talked about everything from sailing to what makes a good NetSuite consultant.

What are you working on at the moment?
For a long time, I have been involved in an exciting project where we first implemented NetSuite for a Swedish subsidiary and where we have then also been commissioned to carry out various improvement projects and implementations for the group’s other companies and in different countries in connection with their international expansion. Then, in the near future, I will support another customer where they plan to start consolidating their group directly in NetSuite instead of in Excel.

Tell us a bit about how you came to work with NetSuite?
I was tipped via a former colleague who I like very much, we both worked at Xledger together for a period and it attracted me that NetSuite is also a completely cloud-based system and that Noresca has the most experienced consultants in NetSuite so that I could be trained by the best. It felt great to be colleagues again and inspiring to work with NetSuite. My experience from accounting fit well into the profile Noresca was looking for, with over twenty years of experience as an accountant, controller and accounting consultant and then as an application consultant / project manager at AARO Systems and Xledger.

NetSuite is an extremely comprehensive system, can you say something about what customers appreciate most about NetSuite?
What we often hear is that customers appreciate the global, cloud-based nature of the system and the ease with which it can be customized to meet the needs of growing companies and those with international operations. The flexible platform allows our skilled developers to customize the system to meet specific business needs. It is easy to customize reports based on the standard reports included.

I imagine that over time, trends and customer demands change, what does it look like now?
Customers are looking to automate their processes to save time for their business. Integrations to external systems that handle supplier invoices, travel invoices, customer invoices and to various payment systems with automatic creation of transactions in NetSuite. There is also a demand for customized reports in addition to the standard reports included.

What is it like to work at Noresca?
I am very happy! We are a bunch of nice and experienced colleagues without prestige who support and help each other when needed. Working with NetSuite means constant learning that is both stimulating and challenging. It’s fun to go to work and it’s a good feeling.

Finally, there are rumors that you can be found at sea in the Stockholm archipelago during the summers?
Yes, we love being out at sea and cruising between the islands in our beautiful archipelago. We are one of the few countries in the world that even has an archipelago and to be able to get around in perhaps the most beautiful one with the help of the wind is just amazing.
